Nelly is regarded as one of the new millennium's top four most successful rappers. The Grammy-award-winning hip-hop artist has many accomplishments throughout his almost three-decade career. He has released eight highly-acclaimed studio albums and sold over 21 million records worldwide. Nelly has also won three Grammy Awards, 12 Grammy nominations, and nine Billboard Music Awards.

Nelly has three number 1 albums. His debut album, Country Grammar, topped the Billboard 200 chart for five consecutive weeks. The album spawned several Hot 100 singles, “Country Grammar,” “E.I.,” “Ride Wit Me,” and “Batter Up.” The 2000 album sold more than ten million copies in the U.S., earning a Diamond Award. Nelly’s follow-up album, Nellyville, also topped the Billboard 200 chart thanks to his colossal hits, “Hot in Herre,” which won a Grammy Award for Male Rap Solo Performance, and “Dilemma,” which won Melodic Rap Performance. Nellyville sold more than seven million albums, earning a seven-time platinum certification.

In 2003, Nelly released a single, “Shake Ya Tailfeather,” with P.Diddy and Murphy Lee. The song was featured on the Bad Boys II soundtrack and in Lee’s debut album, Murphy’s Law. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 2004. Nelly’s fourth album, Suit, topped the mainstream charts in the U.S. and Canada. The critically-acclaimed album was preceded by hit singles, “My Place” and “Over and Over.”
